I was on a mission to find a handmade teal or turquoise glass elephant.
Along the way, I got to see artisans at work making all kinds of interesting pieces from glass.
I never did find that teal elephant, but I found something better.
I found David at Mdina Glass near the Ta’ Qali Crafts Village.
I watched him make a few intricate glass pieces, marveling at his skill, and then asked if he could make an elephant.
Yes, he could make one for me if I returned at 12:30pm the next day.
So, back on the bus the next day, and he made these interlocking glass elephants with teal ears and tails from nothing but tubes of glass.
So cool.

Did u post a pic of them?
Sadly, I didn’t think to get a better picture of them before they were all wrapped up and in a box. The one in this post is all I have.
