The Happy Hive.

I felt a little flutter in my stomach as the plane started moving.

This is really happening.

Starting today, I have 90 days to re-open the Happy Hive Café and get it running smoothly and sustainably.

That means espresso, a bar, a full kitchen menu and live music, five nights a week.

As a stretch goal, breakfast and lunch, too.

Oh, and the place is currently closed and in debt with no cash and no employees.

Three brave volunteers have stepped up to the challenge with me.

The four of us make the core full-time team and we’ll have some local volunteers from time-to-time.

You thought it was hard to defuse the nuclear arsenal and save the world?

Ha!

This is the real Mission Impossible.

I don’t know anyone in Malta.

I’ve never run a café.

I just got my passport last year, and I’ve only been to a resort in Mexico.

Why am I doing this?

Probably because I’m crazy enough to think I can.

That, and Eve called my bluff. 🙂

  1. Seriously! Your life is anything but boring! Can’t wait to read about your adventures with the café! Trust God and He’ll work things out!

    • It’s just amazing how things are working out! I’ll have to write a post about that. Thanks for the “not boring” vote! Life is certainly different than when I began this blog. In fact, couldn’t be much more different! I think. ?
