Four Corners Market

My favorite thing at Four Corners was the market.

Lots of interesting people with handmade items for sale and interesting stories to tell.

I watched Lyn with one ‘n’ create this sand painting completely freehand.

She grinds her own stones to make the colored sand.

She says she can’t do anything when the wind picks up. The glue dries too fast and sand flies everywhere.

She translates stories from Navajo and writes them on the back of her paintings.

This one is the bear, which signifies strength and is considered a brother to the Navajo.
