Speakeasy’s are secretly interesting.

I didn’t even know what a speakeasy was until I visited Knee High Stocking Company sometime in January.

It’s an odd-looking old house in a weird place in Capitol Hill.

There’s no way to see what’s inside.

There’s just an intriguing doorbell on the outside.

If you’re ever in Capitol Hill, try ringing that doorbell!

Last night, I went to Tavern Law, another speakeasy on the hill, for a delicious pan-seared trout and some good conversation with Bhavesh.

I can’t tell you how inspiring it is to be around other creative people and brainstorm ideas.

It just makes me want to find and be around more creative people.

Such a great change from the soul-sucking conversations and processes around deciding which bugs to fix at Microsoft.

So thankful to be here!
